Notice
Nestrand Technologies Limited, RC 9834714, registered office 36 Hassan Street, Lagos, Nigeria (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal data described here. This notice covers this website, the waitlist, the checkout, and the daily usage ping the Software sends. It does not cover the telemetry you route into your own installation — that never reaches us, and clause 12 of the Licence says why.
1. What we collect, and when
1.1Joining the waitlist: your email address and the team-size band you pick. Nothing else is asked for and nothing else is stored.
1.2Buying a licence: your organisation name and the email address the licence key is sent to. Card details are entered on the payment provider’s own form and never reach us — we do not see, store or process a card number at any point.
1.3Running the Software: one HTTPS request per day to installs.ritele.io, carrying a random install identifier, the release version, a count of Environments, a true/false flag for whether a Licence Key is applied, and — where one is applied — the subject of that Licence Key. On a licensed installation that subject identifies you. On the Free Tier the ping carries nothing that identifies anyone.
1.4Writing to us: whatever you put in the message. We keep it for as long as the correspondence is live and for as long afterwards as we need it to answer a related question.
1.5Our hosting providers keep ordinary server logs, which include IP addresses and user-agent strings, for their own operational and security purposes.
2. What we do not collect
2.1No cookies. This site sets none, and stores nothing on your device — no local storage, no session storage, no fingerprinting. That is why you are not asked to dismiss a consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.
2.2No analytics that identifies you. Where page analytics is enabled it is a cookieless counter that records a page view without building a profile or following you between sites.
2.3No Telemetry Data. The traces, spans, metrics and logs you route into your installation stay on your infrastructure. The usage ping described in 1.3 carries none of it: no component or service names, no hostnames, no addresses, no query text, no error reports.
3. Why we are allowed to hold it
3.1Waitlist: your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by writing to us.
3.2Checkout and licence delivery: performance of the contract between us. We cannot issue a licence key without an address to send it to.
3.3The usage ping: our legitimate interest in knowing how many installations exist and which releases are in use, balanced against a payload deliberately kept to the minimum that answers those two questions. It can be switched off — see 6.3.
3.4Payment records: our legal obligation to keep accounting records, and our legitimate interest in being able to evidence a sale.
4. Who else sees it
4.1We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
4.2Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., United States) holds waitlist addresses and sends the waitlist email. This is a transfer outside Nigeria and outside the UK and EU.
4.3Paystack (Nigeria) processes card payments. Your card details go to them directly and never pass through us.
4.49jaPay (Nigeria) handles bank transfers, including the one-time account number an order is paid into.
4.5Netlify (United States) serves this website. Render (United States) hosts the service that issues licence keys and receives the usage ping.
4.6Each of those acts on our instructions for the purpose named, under its own terms, and none of them receives Telemetry Data.
5. How long we keep it
5.1Waitlist addresses: until you unsubscribe, or until we decide the waitlist has served its purpose and delete it.
5.2Customer and payment records: for as long as the licence is live, and afterwards for as long as accounting and tax rules require.
5.3Usage ping records: the install identifier, version and counts are kept indefinitely, because they are our own record of our own deployments and identify nobody. Where a Licence Key subject has been recorded against an installation, that subject is cleared after thirteen months without contact from it.
5.4Correspondence: as described in 1.4.
6. What you can ask us to do
6.1You may ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, ask for it in a portable form, or object to our relying on legitimate interests. Write to us and we will answer within one month.
6.2Withdrawing consent to the waitlist is immediate and needs no reason: use the unsubscribe link, or write to us.
6.3You can stop the usage ping yourself without asking us. Set RITELE_USAGE_PING=false and the request is never made. Nothing in the Software degrades and no feature is withheld.
6.4If you think we have got this wrong, tell us first — we would rather fix it. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, or, if you are in the UK or EU, to your own supervisory authority.
7. Changes and contact
7.1If we change this notice we will change the published date above. Where a change materially affects what we do with data we already hold, we will say so rather than rely on you noticing.
7.2Write to legal@ritele.io for anything in this notice, including a request under section 6.
